Actually I got 3 next week, one for physical therapy, one for plan of treatment with tumor growing, one for the sleep study results.
1st appointment as I said - showed my eye symptoms was not a virus, my tumor growing
2nd appointment - yep I am sick, with the common virus', won a round of antibiotics and they increased my pain killers for all the pain while making me laugh hysterically. He and I get along great. He asked me why I am in severe back pain... so I told him "you drop 40 pounds while haveing 44 DD's on your chest." I guess I was a little too vivid... because he actually grabbed his chest and made some silly comments then told me a number of his patients are bigger in the chest like I was too and they all had back pain from it too and wrote me for 30 additional pills of my pain killer and changed my frequency. So I told him thanks, and offered to buy his vicodin from him that he got from his doctor. Which got him laughing. We really do have a wierd, fun, doctor patient relationship. Then we went serious, and talked about a patient that we both have. Being a caregiver, makes it really interesting sometimes especially when the person that is your client has your same primary doctor. The horrible thing is if our patient said that to the doctor.... he'd get thrown off his pain contract and tossed in jail. Me, ah the doctor knows this lil one is just full of crap and you never know where she's gonna get you laughing. I even get the doctor venting in my room. If he's tired, I tell him to pull up a seat, I'll read and for him to close his eyes for 15 minutes. Which he will do, and loves it. Poor nurses haven't caught on that the doctor tends to take breaks when he sees me. We just act like the appointment ran over.
Hope I got a few of you laughing too.
