So many questions

Ok here it goes I have AI that runs in my family, mom rheumatoid, sis sarcoidosis, neph AI cancer(lymphoma?) so my dr is testing me My symptoms are iron deficiency anemia, fatigue, achy everything, numb hands to the point they felt on fire couldn't open a med bottle, so my test came back ra norm, Ana +, scl-70 norm, c4 low 11, homogenous titer 1:80, ribosomal norm, sm and sm/rnp norm, thyroid norm, the only thing that I'm waiting for now is ss-a and ss-b but I don't think it's that I need help to understand what else could it be

Hello lynnwood i guess what i' m asking, is it still possible with those kind of test results to have lupus and doesn't my symptoms measure for anything my mom tested negative twice before they diagnosed her with Rheumatoid

Check out "Diagnosing Lupus" in my link below. The Lupus Organization diagnoses based on a "4 of 11" criteria, where only one is a blood test, the others are symptoms. However, some rhuemotologists want to use ONLY blood tests, while others use ONLY symptoms -- the good ones use both.

Keep in mind that a regular doctor is NOT really qualified to diagnosis lupus -- you will want to see a rheumy - and since your mom & sister have illnesses diagnosed/treated by a rheumy, I wouldn't wait, instead proceed directly to the rheumy.

The most important item is to begin treatment for your symptoms -- sometimes the diagnosis comes after the treatment as auto-immune disease is tricky to diagnose!

Sounds like an excellent plan! Take list of all symptoms, whether you think they fit Lupus or not, the time frame when they occurred, and a copy of all the labs your dr just ran.
