Update on first SSD visit

I'm back from my first SSD visit. Today was medical and physical exam.

The doctor was an occupational doctor. He wrote down my medicines and complaints. Then he did a range of movement test on me. After I finished I was so sore and stiff.

My dominate hand was half as strong as my other hand.

He also told me that it was impossible to have both lupus and fibro.

He also wondered why I wasn't on MTX yet.

I told him I don't know I'm just following my doctor's orders.

Well, doesn't matter so much what he says...SS documents on disabilities says you can have both.

I figured that. He was close to retirement age and I figure he wasn't as up-to-date as my doctor was since all he did was assess working ability.

At least that part is over. When I had my grip tested I had about no grip left in either hand. I drop things a lot. I can't believe he said you can't have Lupus and fibro at the same time. Like you said though he probably isn't that knowledgeable and was just looking at your work capabilities.
