Hi everyone,
I am new here and scared.
I am a 20 year old white british female and was diagnosed with Urticaria 2 years ago.
When the anti histamines stopped helping me I went back to my Dr and he referred me back to an Immunologist. He thinks I have an underlying auto immune disease of some kind. I had some tests run and these are my results:
Rheumatoid Factor: Normal
ANA: Positive
Patern & Titre: Fine speckled ANA, titre: 1:640
ENA: Negative
Complement C3 & C4: Normal
Immunoglobulin A: High
Immunoglobulin E: High
Serum Protein Electrophoreses: Normal
I am really worried I have lupus.
I started getting skin swellings 2 years ago which have now gone but I have severe itchy skin, fatigue (I am exhausted), depression and anxiety. I have been through a lot in the past 2 years including 3 car crashes, losing both of my Grandfathers and my Grandmother had a brain haemorrhage.
I am so fed up of feeling like this, it's the exhaustion that gets me the most. I catch every cold/flu/bug/virus that is out there on a regular basis and feel poorly most days leading to alot of sickness absense from work and I now have my boss on my back about my attendance, she has referred me to occupational health at work. I can't cope with feeling like this anymore, it is making me more depressed. I have an appointment with my consultant at the end of this month to find out more.
