Hello All--
Thought I'd start a new post, since I have several updates.
Boohoo that they don't give more than a local anesthesia, since I've looked at a YouTube video of the biopsy and it's YUCKOLA!
I also saw a dermatologist at the Billings Clinic. (I really like him!) He said that eight of my toes have chronic Chilblains, which I kinda thought. And said that they're getting better now because of the warmer weather, although they are still blue/purple and scaly, but not inflamed. . . . Also said that I most likely have Raynaud's in my hands to accompany my Chilblains. A lovely pair. ;)
He told me that I have female Alopecia, of which I was aware, hence the short, short haircut and lightened hair color, which seems to hide the hair loss better!
And, that I have two precancerous spots that he's going to freeze (one on top of my head and one above my eyebrow).
AND, that I have a patch of Vitiligo along my jaw, with much more hyperpigmentation in other areas.
SO, after I have my biopsy done, he will freeze the spots--and I'll be a real beauty--with a shaved head around the temple area, some Frankenstein stitches (and probably a cool bandage!), and a couple of burns from the freezing. Maybe I can do a casting call for "The Walking Dead." HA
And my rheumatologist blood work will be done on Tuesday--the only day the clinic does the ANA stuff.
Fun week! (But, thinking much, much more about Barbara that ANYTHING I could possibly be dreading.)
Thanks to all of you--I feel very fortunate to have found my HW family!
Jan
