Hi I've had high eye pressures since I was like 22. Since being military I see a different eye specialist almost every time I need one. Some say yes I have glaucoma and others say no. I've been put on and taken off glaucoma medication at least 6 different times. Currently, I'm not on anything and my pressures haven't affected my optic nerve so no medications. It's in my records I have glaucoma, but it's untreated at this time.
My daughter who is 21, also has high pressures and has since she was 10. She too, has been on and off glaucoma medications. They have found that she and I have thick cornea's and that may be the reason our pressures are so high.
As to the cataracts, are you on prednisone? If so, most likely they are being caused from your steroid use. I've been on high dose steroids for over 14 years. Last summer I had my cataracts finally removed. I was 48 when they removed them, I've had them since I was 40. It's just another side effect from steroid use, once you get them they do not go away if you stop using steroids. They will no longer continue to worsen but they won't go away either.
I hope your eye appointment goes well and you don't have glaucoma and need to use eye medications. As for the migraines and your the hormonal balance, I'm not sure if mine where related or not. I had a total hysterectomy in 1997 and suffered from severe headaches for about 2 maybe 3 years and then they just stopped. I sometimes get a migraine but very rarely, I'm on no hormone replacement therapy as I've had two blood clots and you can't take hormones once you've had blood clots.
Hope that your migraines get under control soon and that you start feeling better really soon. Any other questions just ask away.
Hugs,
Barbara
