Upper GI Results Concerning

I have been having severe pain in my esophagus and upper abdomen for some time. Today I had an upper GI, I thought for sure the doctor would just come back and tell me everything was okay, it was the same ole' same ole' just inflammation due to lupus. Well, there is inflammation, but also I have candid (better known as thrush) in my entire esophagus and an ulcer in my stomach. I'm actually not so concerned about the ulcer, as long as the biopsy comes back that there is no other infection in there. I'm more concerned about the candid, because I have been on Diflucan for candid in my mouth and back of my throat on and off for 6 months or so and obviously has just moved down.

I guess my question is has anyone ever experienced this? And I often have problems breathing, this week alone I had to get out of the shower mid-shower because I literally could not breath, I'm wondering could this be in my lungs as well? I am going to send these concerns to my doctor, I really didn't think of them until I got home and of course my doctors are 3 hours away as luck would have it so it's not as easy to just pop by there if I forget something.

Hi Joy,

Yes, definitely have something going on with my lungs (again). I've been telling this too to my Rheumy, but he just shrugs it off to be inflammation each time. Another email has gone out to him since I don't see him until the 8th letting him know of the results from yesterday and asking about the lung situation. I'm worried that the candid could have spread into my lungs as well. Anyone experience that?

I too am on Cellcept, Leflunomide and prednisone so I see your point. I'll give sleeping inclined a try as well, that's a good idea.
