It is possible that you have Hypochlorhydria or Achlorhydria. Both conditions stop the parietal cells in the stomach from producing the intrinsic factor. The intrinsic factor is a glycoprotein that is necessary for the absorption B-12 in the small bowel. B-12 is necessary for the production of red blood cells in the bones. Both conditions will cause malabsorption of the necessary vitamins, minerals and micronutrients necessary to support the body. Hypochlorhydria and Achlorhydria are easily and accurately diagnosed with a pH diagnostic test. Search the internet for pH diagnostic test, or pH capsule test, or pH gastrogram.
