Lupus flare or arthritis flare?

This morning I was throwing up, bad headache, dizzy, horrible joint pain in all my small joints. Some swelling in my feet and hands. Fever of 100.2. So is this a lupus flare. Arthritis? A virus? With my ammuine system if this is a virus will it get worse? Help!

Thank you for your quick reply. I was just diagnoises with lupus this month.My family practice doctor did blood work in December. Thought it might be lupus. She referred me to a rheumatologist who did more blood tests. When the blood work came back and after going through my medical records, asking a bunch of questions and doing exactly exams, four appointments later said it is SLE. So I'm still trying to figure all this out. I almost always have a fever that hovers between 99-101. I'm really surprised at the differences in fevers between a lupus patient and a non lupus patient. I keep a daily health journal. My next appointment is in April. I'm on an anti malarial which I've been told takes a couple of months to work. The steroid shot has helped alot. My throwing up has calmed down, thank goodness. I will keep an eye on my fever. My headache is holding on steady, .percocet helps. Will call the doctor tomorrow if this doesnt subsidide. Tonight, my dear husband of 39 years, is bringing home dinner so I don't have to cook or clean. Take good care Lynnwood.
