It's been a year since I was diagnosed with lupus. Since the middle of Dece I have had problems with my butterfly rash along with more than normal pain in all my small joints. Here's my question, well more than one. Last Friday proved to be very stressful, some news. Afterwards I noticed a terrible rash on my face and the side of my neck. Even over my eyes. There's a heat to it and it's bright red, thick and very dry feeling. Creams burn the rash and I can't cover it with make up. I tried, it didn't work. On top of all this I had a birthday party for my granddaughter. We took pictures. My face looks terrible and I looked as exhausted as I really was. Can stress cause the butterfly rashes and my flares? Also what can I put on my face to heal it and cover it when I have to go somewhere. I'm getting stared at. My flares and rashes seem worse with the cold weather. I'm frustrated, can stress like planning and giving a birthday party be the cause of some of my rashes and flares. And I was so exhausted after the party. A couple of years ago this wasn't a problem. Now I feel like I've run a marathon, even on my normal days. I fall into bed exhausted by 8 pm almost every night Any advice on face creams that will cure this rash and if what kind of make up, if there is one to cover it? And this exhaustion, beyond tired all the time. Thanks for any help. God Bless. Dustmite.
