update on doc visit for eyes

Hi, well I had my appt this morning with my doctor to discuss the findings of the optician visit earlier in the week. Unbelievably the doctor didn't have the report! But he did look in my eyes and he agreed with the optician. He said the optic disc was pale and remarkably different than my left eye. He couldn't see the optic nerve enough to give anything further on that. He as made an appt with an opthamologist on 16th May and they will look into it further. He said the pupil is much smaller in my right eye and it made things more difficult to identify the problems. I asked what could cause this and he said it could be from the lupus but there are a number of other things also. So, we'll wait until the appt and see what happens. In the meantime he has given me some medication for the headaches called diclofenick (sp???) Take care x x

  I'm sorry you still don't have the answers yet. Hopefully, the opthamologist can tell what is going on and why. I hope you get good relief from the headaches with the new med. Let us know what you find out on the 16th. Hang in there and take care. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Lion, any problems with your eyes can be so scarey. I'm glad you have an appointment with an ophthalmologist and I too will be anxious to learn what he says. Are your headaches lupus headaches? I don't know what kind mine are...they aren't migranes and they aren't sinus, and nothing seems to help. Thankfully I don't get them every day.
