Bit of pain... may not be on too much today

I got my copper IUD inserted today and WOW!!! OUCHY!!!! I'm so glad its over with though. I do now have major cramping going on so I'm gonna lay down pretty much all day. I hope you are all doing well. :-)

Hope you are feeling better tonight. I've never had an IUD device in, and now since have my hysterectomy, well you know. How is your lupus doing? How are you in general feeling? Know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you have a good weekend. Let us know how you are when you feel up to it.

I've been doing okay. More rashes, I think mostly because its too darn hard to stay away from the sun as much as you try... and I do try. Dermy appt later this month so hopefully he can do something. Had some swelling going on about a week ago so doc switched my NSAIDs, so far so good.

I'm so sorry that you are feeling so ill again. I wish I could take all the pain from you... you are so sweet, going through all you do and still caring so much for everyone, you have such a big heart!!

((((Hugs)))) Des. I hope the cramping is still better and that you are still making sure you get rested. I think we have to be so careful even with "minor" proceedures like getting your IUD put in. Take care of yourself.

Thanks Rosie and Hippi, Realized the cramping that I'm having is not from the IUD because its too much on the left, horrible stabbing pains. Called my doc and said I have a slight case of diverticulitis right now... did I walk under a ladder? Extremely nauseous right now (on two antibiotics, doxycyclone and levaquin) Probably need another day in bed. Thanks again you guys... I don't know whats going on with me anymore, I probably sound ridiculous right now.

You certainly don't sound ridiculous, you sound unwell and in pain. I really hope the antibotics start to work soon for you. I understand the pain from diverticulitis is horrible and I'm thinking of you. Speedy recovery and get lots of rest. xx

So little but it feels like a coathanger! No wonder it works. I wouldn't be on much either. I hope you feel better soon and don't forget the heating pad!

Des, It sounds like you're going through an awful painful time. The only time I had an IUD (25 yrs ago) it caused my cramps to worsen, but hopefully they have since been improved. Diverticulitis is said to be horribly painful, and I'm so sorry you're going through this. Others are right, a heating pad, cup of hot tea, and I'd add a strong painkiller might give you some temporary relief.

Hopefully your new NSAIDs are helping with your inflammation. It's amazing what a good day of sleeping and resting can do, isn't it. Glad you're taking care of yourself. By the way, you also have an amazingly big heart.

   (((Hugs))) I hope the anti-b's help the diverticulitis soon. I have been in the hosptial twice with it before. When I start getting that pain I go on a full liquid diet for a few days to clear the colon out. Rest and take care. Update us when you can. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm feeling better although the antib's are still making me sick to my stomach. This is my 3rd time with it and the first two times I ended up in the hospital. Doc told me the next time I need to go to the hospital for it, that I really needed to consider surgery. Well needless to say, I'm trying desperately to stay out of the hospital. I'm on a low residue diet although I'm mostly on liquids anyway due to the nausea.

I'm back though and I'm slowly catching up on the posts... you guys have been busy!! :-)
