Daymay, 20 years ago I went through virtually the same thing you did at the health center. I went from doctor to doctor with the same complaints and was told basically the same thing you were - it's stress, you work too hard, you need to spend the weekend sleeping, blah blah blah, only to find out that I had thyroid cancer. I'm not suggesting you have what I did, but we were treated the same way. We lupies get so used to being dismissed and it can be very frustrating. We finally learn to take control of our health rather than turn ourselves over to our doctors.
If I'm not taken seriously by a doctor, I don't return. You might have more success if you were to find your own rheumatologist when you get back home. I sure wish you could get some help.
I believe there is also a tendency of doctors and lots of other adults to not take young people seriously. I've noticed this with my daughter, who is your age. It's a real shame. I guess, though, that there are real benefits to the little lines around my eyes and my aging mind. :)
I hope you'll continue to post here and that you get the support and help from the folks on the forum. We may not be able to offer medical care but we try to be a pretty good support group.
((((hugs))))
