HI,

I can't remember if I posted here about this so I am going to again.  Sorry if this is a repeat.  I had a MRI done of my brain in June.  I was very sure that the results were going to be negative (I was having strange symptoms with headaches).  Anyway, when I went back for the results the neurologist said not to worry, but they found a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brainstem.  She said it was a benign condition and we would recheck it in 3 months.  I was shocked and kind of scared, too thinking I have an abnormal brain, no matter how benign it is. 

I had another MRI done on MOnday with contrast and I am going to see the Neurologist next Monday for the results.  Has anyone heard of this before or know anything about this condition?

Hugs to you Mary Ann . . . that really would be scary. My son had an issue with a scary MRI on his brain and it turned out to be a twisted blood vessel with no need to ever be concerned again . . . but it did have us frightened for a while until all the info was in. Did they ever solve the headache issue??? I hope your neuro is personable . . .some of them can be pretty cold and techy. I hope someone else can answer your question, but it sounds like you might be first one here with that particular issue. Keep us posted. Blessings!

Mary Ann, I don't know anything about what they found on your MRI, I just wanted to let you know that I hope it is nothing serious. I agree with you that anything abnormal with the brain sounds scary. Please let us know how things go on Monday - I hope you don't have to wait long for the results. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a worry and to have to wait makes it just that much harder to cope. I really hope that things turn out to be nothing that you have to be concerned about. Please let us know. We'll be wondering.
