I found out I had brain damage like three years after the MRI, the docs never even told me. I would bring it to the attention of your primary care doc and ask plenty of questions about
what it is and how it occurs and whether they did another test to rule it out or if it is a "normal" abnormal finding. Mine was considered a "normal" abnormal finding in a 60 year old but the reading physician did not note that I was 38 at the time, so for me it was abnormal. I still don't know why, though there are many probable causes due to my health problems. I would definitely bring it to the docs or hospital's attention and have your doc or nurse interpret it for you and tell you what it means.

My dr now is doing a new MRI next Tuesday. She wanted it done yesterday but I had to redo it until next week.
