Update

Well, the ultrasound today showed a healthy baby with the cord between his/her legs. I got to see one little foot and the toes. I finally got hubby to work on the names again. We have boys names down to 3 and girls to 9. We need to get the girls names down to 5 if possible. I would love some help narrowing the list and also to see how others feel about the names we have picked.

Tomorrow I am going to find out what the about the same (referring to cervical length) means because last time it was identical. If there is even the slightest change I want the stitch placed. I will also be asking about re-starting Imuran so I can get off the plaquenil. I appreciate those who offered some input on that issue. I also need to find out why the headaches happen 4 or more times a week. The 27th I will get my nerve block as it was the soonest they could fit me in.  I am posting the names below and would love any feedback. Also please know if I do not get online for a few days I am likely in the hospital because they finally did the darned stitch. I hope they do because I want Christmas with my girls and to have that worry off my back.

I want a unique name but also to avoid any serious teasing problems. Of course names that are going to be teased in a few years are way different from the ones that were a problem when I was young and even from those that are problematic today.

We have the boys names down to 3 choices:

Azriel Kane

Micah Kane

Noah Michael

No need to narrow those choices any further. And yes I know Noah is popular but boys don't have the problems developing a sense of self that girls seem to when given a highly common name.

My favorite part of being pregnant was picking out my childrens names... I was blessed to be able to do that four times. :)

Arianna Leigh or Julianne Leigh
Noah Michael

I have a Joshua Michael, so I am very partial to that name. He is my oldest. If we had had another little girl, her name was going to be Arielle. I loved that name. :) Right now, my children are Joshua, Jordan, Kelley, and Lindsey. Our middle names include Michael, Gabriel, Gabrielle, and Elizabeth.

Thanks so much for sharing and asking for our input! Your names are really lovely and unique! Some names are ruined for me because I work in a school and a few of my challenging students make me not enjoy some names over others if you know what I mean.

That said, it is nice to try for a noble and unique name for your child but remember they have to learn to spell it in kndergarten and they have to use it in their adult life in a career that we probably haven't even invented yet!

I vote for Juliane Leigh or Lilith Anne for a girl and Noah Michael for a boy. Unique enough to not be ruined for most yet and professional enough for your future doctor, lawyer, engineer, accountant, etc.!

Well, some changes are going to be made to my prescriptions. My blood pressure was higher than it has been so far even though they doubled my blood pressure meds 2-3 weeks ago. They plan to add a second med starting today. They also decided that the risks of the prednisone out-weigh the benifits at this point so I will be placed back on Imuran (used to be used for chemo now used for transplant and autoimmune issues). The risks of Imuran are very low and very rare. The risks of prednisone include my blood pressure issues, risk of premature rupture of membranes, bone density loss, and the fact that we would have to increase the dosage if we stayed with it. So I have a call placed to my rheumy and am waiting for a call back to explain the decision. They want her to manage the Imuran since she is the one who should be doing it. I am retaining water horribly.

My ultrasound was actually identical to the previous one but the tech didn't realize that because she isn't trained to read those results. So she worried us over nothing. Oh well, I wondered since she mistook the cord for a penis and only caught it after she looked at the cord for blood flow. Even then she did not say she might have screwed up the sex, only that the cord was between the legs, but I know from experience (my oldest was first thought to be a boy because of the dang blasted cord and I was initially told my son was a girl for this same reason) that when the cord is between the legs there is no way to know for sure. I will wait and see what they say when they don't have a cord in the way. I prefer to have 2 sex checks be the same result before I agree they are accurate since this is an inexact science. The only time they know for positive sure is if they see the vagina. So we will see.

So long as the next ultrasound is okay I can spend Christmas Day with my girls. I am kinda tired so I am signing off.
