Chapelle!! Hi!!! How have you been?
Not that Buhner has a corner on the market for information, but he doesn't believe that GSE is that effective. Personally, I think it's worth a try, but don't waste a bunch of time with it if it doesn't seem to be working for you.
Buhner isn't a fan of GSE - here's why:
"I did not look at GSE in lyme as it is not very systemic. It should be effective for lyme infection of the GI tract but I doubt it would do well for the central nervous sytem or secluded cysts."

"I go into this in some depth in the newest edition of Herbal Antibiotics (due out in June). From my research ALL GSE products do indeed seem to contain chemicals that I cannot in good conscience recommend people take. The plant itself IS antibacterial but the commercial products are, in my opinion, adulterated. There is going to be some systemic absorption but I haven’t spent enough time on it to find out just how much. Looking at grapefruit itself, without the additives, it just isn’t potent enough or systemic enough to make it through my filters. And yes, it is helpful for many people."
