Anyone take Biaxin and Diflucan together?

I have another 3 weeks left on Biaxin and then I start Zith.  I have bad sinus yeast problems which are GREATLY improved by Diflucan, however my LLMD wants me to wait until I finish the Biaxin and start the Zith to start Diflucan again. 

Anyone aware of a contradiction with Biaxin and Diflucan???

Not that I don't respect his opinion, but I just realized I'm going to be on the Biaxin a month longer than I thought and I'm soooo ready to go back on Diflucan.

Just curious if anyone has taken these two meds together?

I have been taking Biaxin since June 3/08. From January/08 to June/08, while on Zithromax + Mepron, I got about seven yeast infections.

I spoke to my doctor about the fact that the vaginal yeast infections kept returning, despite repeated treatments with Over-The-Counter cream/ovules. I also take refrigerated probiotics which I buy at the Health Food Store.

In late June, my doctor gave me an Rx for Diflucan, 150 mg daily for seven days. This treatment worked very well, until just last week when I got another yeast infection which wouldn't resolve despite treatment. Today, my doctor wrote me another Rx for Diflucan, 150 mg (one tablet) once daily for seven days.

Here is what www.drugs.com had to say about mixing Biaxin w/ Diflucan:

"Fluconazole may increase plasma concentrations of clarithromycin when coadministered. The mechanism of action is unknown. The clinical significance of the elevation appears to be minimal in healthy subjects. Observation for clarithromycin adverse effects is recommended if these drugs are given together."
