Twitching? A herx reaction?

im not sure if its a herx or not but ever since my dx, ive had the same thing.. it has definitely decreased w/treatment

I have been twitching EVERYWHERE non stop for almost 4 months. I get hard twitches that I can see and little ones that are very deep. I have been SO scared I have ALS even though I have pains (which started all of this to begin with) which is not typically present with this diseaes and I had a good emg.

I hope hoping for a clinical dx this Monday. The twitching (SO FAR) is my worst symptom...and I do think it is due to lyme due to my other symptoms.

I have been taking 500 a day, it has not helped at all.

How long have you been having twitching? Is it all over and daily?

I started twitching 2 weeks after the tick bite (MAy1) It was nearly continuous then-- my Lyme titer is now .95 ( down form 1.30) and the twitching is almost gone. I have been on antibiotics for 1 month. I think the twitching related to your LYME infection-- my opinion-- and you need to track the change in your lyme titer as your treatment progresses. Again only my opinion based on my treatment so far.

Was tested for Bart yesterday ( IDS would not test for this initially as I do not own a cat). This may explain some of the remaining issues??? Also had an electrocardiogram for a newly developed heart murmur. Can't wear contact because of conjunctivitis. Are different antibiotics used for Bart infection?? I guess I hear back in a few weeks-- I have found the best way to deal with my IDS is periodically get my medical records. It is about the only way to follow up and things,.


Second questions -- does anyone know of a lab in the US that tests for the Lyme species in the UK. There are test kits sold by Trinity Labs ( however they sell to clinics in the 400 lot amount) ?? IGNEX does not test for this species.
