Ondamed for Lyme?

Has anyone had experience with the German Ondamed machine that many of the alternative and Lyme doctors are trying with their Lyme patients? www.ondamed.net

Just curious, are you seeing Dr. D. in Grand Rapids?  That's one of the things he wanted me to try (I didn't).

KO-LD, no I see R in KC. I tried it yesterday along with acupuncture in the lower legs and feet for liver and gallbladder support. Funny thing when I went to the chiro today he said he could now feel a strong pulse in my head/neck area that on previous visits (I see him at least twice a week) he couldn't and when he pressed in areas along my neck, shoulders and upper back I had less pain and didn't get emotional from the level of pain I usually experience. I would not have believed this change if another doctor hadn't commented. Will have to see if this repeats and stays put.

Does your doctor have the Ondamed in his office or you need to find a practitioner? You can locate one through the website. Do you still have the PN or other pain? I found some good information sites if you Google Ondamed and Lyme for information. There is a conference you can listen to where Dr. B talks about it. The audio is kind of messed up at times, but there is some interesting information for different conditions like PN.

I was told by another practitioner in state of PA that to ask if the person administering the work has had training that took place a year ago because it is suppose to be more effective with it. To ask if the person knows how to do "the major complaint and focus."

I'd like to know if you or anyone else tries it.

I still have the tingling.  I didn't try it when I was seeing him, he was a "what does a duck say"?  He told me that 1 tx was equal to 9 hours of physical therapy.  He didn't have anything to back that statement up, so I passed.  I'm glad it's helping you.  KO

I have a treatment once a week.  I had so much inflamation in my body I could barely walk.  Myspeech is slurred and my hands are so stiff they barely work.

After a month I am probably 50% better.  I need to have 2-3 treatments a week so I am going to buy my own machine.  In the long run it's cost effective.

As everything with lyme it doesn't work for everyone but it works for me.  I love it!

tswag, how many treatment sessions have you had?  Does your practitioner do accupuncture at the same time?  My understanding is that one may have to do more frequent sessions in the beginning and then as your body is cleared of blocks you can use less to hopefully maybe one a month and then just a "tune up" as I've heard.  The machine with training averages around $25,000.00.  I can do a lot of sessions at $100.00 to reach that amount.  Best wishes with your treatment and progress.

I've had 6 so far, once a week. I need to go more often. Mine is $145 per session. I'm looking at it as an investment. It's not only for lyme. Depression, arthritis, gout, bipolar diaorder, migranes, treatment for cancer there's an unending list and I could help many people. There is no one in my area that does it yet.

tswag,that is a little high. The practitioner I went to included accupuncture in the visit. I spoke to a practitioner in VA Beach yesterday and he says the person that trained him was so sick he couldn't leave his home for years due to Lyme and now doing very well and teaching seminars. Where do you live?

Hello, everyone! I was so excited to read that there are other people who have had great results with the ondamed machine! I'm 27, was misdiagnosed with MS at the age of 20 and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in November, 2007. The new diagnosis explained a lot - i.e. why I've had such great success with Colloidal Silver and antibiotics years ago etc. Anyways, before I knew I had Lyme, I went to see a doctor in Pittsburgh and I had 2 sessions with a machine they had there called ondamed. I felt an immediate improvement but I couldn't believe this "weird" new machine had actually done something. But the truth was that I did feel an immediate relief so when I came back home (Corning, upstate NY) I started looking for a doctor's office that's closer to where I live and had the ondamed so I can try it for longer. I found one closer (in Williamsport, PA) and I went there once a week for 2 months. The Physician Assistant was running programs according to what my pulse was showing and I improved quite a bit. Only in one of the last sessions the Physician Assistant ran a Lyme specific program. At the time I was also taking Colloidal Silver but it had stopped working for me. Then I also started taking Olive Leaf Extract. But it was the ondamed that was making me feel good. However I started not feeling good when I started taking cat's claw, so I stopped it a week later. Bottom line is, the ondamed works somehow. And what I like is that the body says what's wrong and the ondamed goes along with it. Anyways, then I got diagnosed with Lyme and I decided to look for a LLMD. And after a lot of research I went to one in CT and he started me on doxi, penicilin and malarone, which I don' think i the right route and I am going back to the ondamed. Anyways, I just finished reading Lyme Disease and Rife Machines by Bryan Rosner and he doesn't mention the ondamed there and I am wondering why. I am reading now another book by him - Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments and so far he hasn't mentioned the ondamed. Does anyone know how the Ondamed compares with the Rife machines and where does one buy it from? Can insurance cover at least a part of the price (I believe it's FDA approved)? Thanks, Mira

Ondamed is not FDA approved yet, but in the process, so there are limitations to what a practitioner can say on how it is used for treatments. It was allowed to be sold in the US. in 2005, so that is why you would not see it in books. Also the machine is expensive for most small practitioners, $25,000 plus training. It was not a year ago that training with the focus on main complaint was introduced and more success was achieved with the machine. I also see a practitioner in VA that uses Ondamed in conjunction with many other energy healing methods. www.vcmedicine.com.

I can't address the differences between Ondamed and Rife, but there is a Lyme and Rife Yahoo support group that is very active and I'm sure you could received some input from the members.
