Motion sickness is the primary issue I deal with when I fly.

I guess that would depend on how you feel. The last trip I took was 3 years ago. Boston to Colorado and I was fine. Nervous, but otherwise ok, but I was feeling pretty well then so that is why I ask. Jet lag can take a lot out of you, but flying in general shouldn't be a major issue.

No problems with the actual flying.
Got over the top hostile at all the flight delays and cancellations
I'm a lot more irritable since LD.

It all has to do with stress.
I would get chest pains and nausea and feel so bad before a trip that I would often cancel. I would also have problems with all of my symtoms at the airport, if I made it that far. And I would have trouble walking, and get dizzy and want to faint.
I also got ill on the flights.
Lyme makes exciting or stressful things really hard for me.
I am a very savy travelor...but lyme would kick me in the stomach and make it all really hard. Physically and emotionally.
Now I can do it.

I was wondering when this one was gonna come up. Being in the entertainment business I fly every weekend overseas. I can truly attest to it being very bad for you. Each time you fly you develop clots...while most people can get rid of them. Once in a blue moon you'll get a bad one and BAM ....DVT. A few of my other entertainment buddies had a scan done and low and behold they had clots all over their bodies...they're on a no fly rule for the next 6 months and on blood thinners. The stress on your body induced by flying is horrible. Have you ever seen what happens to a water bottle, that you were drinking at cruising altitude, once you descend below 5,000 ft? It's completely compressed!!!! This is what you have put your body through...it is the reason why your ankles swell. The reason why when you try to put your sneakers on again...you go hey? how come their so tight now? If you have to fly like i have to...then please make sure you take 2 aspirin..instead of the normal one and drink LOADS of water. Your immune system is already on the brink of total collapse....you'll just be adding fuel to the fire. For a normal person...a flight every once in the while is no big thing....for us...it's a take 2 steps forward and take 12 steps back!

interesting thoughts. when i fly, i experience a lot of palpitations upon landing. my psvt is totally kicked off, but severely. i feel pretty great while in the air, but awful when the pressure changes. i also experience this horrible, overwhelming pressure in my head and neck. feels like blood. i can hear and feel it whooshing in my ears and head. it almost seems like the changes in pressure do something very strange to my blood vessels and heart. similar feelings occur when the weather pressure becomes low too.
does anyone else experience this?
i used to fly all the time before i was sick. now i hear about
how damaging it can be on our bodies, and i'm totally freaked.
