do you herx with bartonella?

I am being treated for bartonella with Levaquin which I just started last week.  When I first started doxy for lyme I had a huge herx, symptoms becoming so much worse I was bed ridden for weeks.  There seems to be little change with this treatment.  With Lyme I have noticed waxing and wanning of symptoms every 28 days, which I know is common.  Mine come with the full moons.  But this full moon I did not have the typical muscle twitching and spasms that I normally do. The day after starting Levaquin I had a "silly" uncontrollable crying spell which is totally unusual.  Afterwards I begin to feel my nerves were less irritated.   But after a few days of the drug my shins, which always hurt, hurt more.  I had a low grade headache and my eyes which are always dry, felt very irritated.  Is this a little bit of a bartonella herx?  The only other thing I notice is that I do not feel so disconnected from myself all the time.  I am actually starting to sleep a little better.  Last night I slept 10 hours without any kind of herb to knock me out. Wierd as it was a full moon and I never sleep well during that time.  I did not have the most common bart symtoms like sore feet or the rashes.  I guess my question is, how to you tell if the medication is working?  Does this sound typical?

I changed from mepron to malarone and i started having brain fog and stiff neck and headache in the back of my head... now, i dont know if this is a bartonella herx.. perhaps a lesser malarone is allowing the rifampin to be more effective? possible?

I have the itchy eye thing bad.  And now I have developed a migraine.  I have had this before, but still migraines make me nervous.
