Question about abx. combinations for bartonella....

I was feeling much better when I was on IV rocephin, rifampin and flagyl. I had to have my line pulled because of arm pain and my stomach started hurting so I had also stopped the rifampin and flagyl. I really think I need to get back on rifampin but i'm trying to give my stomach a break, it's still not quite right. I think I have an ulcer.

What type of allergic reaction happens when you take biaxin? And what complete list of symptoms do you have besides foot pain?

I get little itchy red bumbs all over from biaxin and zith.
My symptoms started in my feet (anckles) two years ago, major pain, hard to walk. From there I got a flue-like illness that never goes away. I have an all over achey feeling, heel pain, arthritis in my hands and feet with weakness and delay, stiff neck, head pressure brain fog, twitches, internal tremor feeling, major fatigue, insomnia, bladder issues, poor circulation purpleish nailbeds with white fingertips, enlarges blood vessles, numbness in feet hands and lips.
I have had occational night sweats on some treatments. Usually my neck area, I can only remember once having to change all my clothes. I just started having shallow breathing but not air hunger, although I did have air hunger for a couple of days a while back.
I think that about covers it.
What does this sound like to you? Thanks.

Isnt Biaxin good for bartonella too?

Biaxin appears to be one of the better options. I would take biaxin and just add to it accordingly. Biaxin, Rifampin is good. Biaxin, Bactrim is a nice one too. Biaxin plus herbs is good too, cumanda etc. Of those that have done biaxin, they appear to get results rather fast. I think biaxin has a greater effect on lyme but also some effects on babesia and bartonella. Zithromax appears to be less effective in the oral form.

You really have to experiment until you find something that makes the symptoms go away after an initial increase of symptoms. Sometimes people chase bartonella when in fact they should be going after babesia. And sometimes they go after babesia while ignoring or missing bartonella. The best approach is to cover them all. Below are some of my favorite meds. I've tried sooooooo many different abx and antimalarials but the first list below is what brought me back to reality. I didn't take them all together, but each in different specific combos. And what i was infected with is not the same as others.

Roxithromycin, Bactrim, Biaxin, Rifampin, Minocycline, Artmenisin, Samento, Plaquenil, Diflucan. 

Meds/herbs i've tried but not a big fan of. Amoxicillin, Doxycycline, Lymecycline, Tetracycline, levaquin, Cipro, Avelox, Mepron, Malarone, Garlic, HH capsules, humaworm, oil oregano, olive leaf extract, Zithromax, Flagyl, keflex, Augmentin etc.  

I was looking for the theraputic dosing for biaxin. I have trouble with higher dosages so I helps to know if there is an issue with lower dosages compared to higher ones?

I know each abx is different. What do you know about Biaxin and is that a different number if used with Plaquenil??

I think the max for biaixin would be about 1500mg. I did 2000mg for many months in the past without any problems but i think i was asking for trouble. The norm appears to be 500mg-1000mg. Yes, for the first 2 months, i was an emotional wreck. It was very tough emotionally in the beginning but through time, i couldnt even tell i was taking it. Must of been some type of emotional herx.

For Lyme my Dr. had me pulse. For yeast on diflucan straight and made huge strides with that. For Babs for on straight and for Bart on straight for 3 weeks, then break for 3 weeks, then hit again for three weeks.

nefferdun, I had huge problems with my tendons from levaquin and cipro on the 2nd day of taking them. Keep trying and you will find the right combination for you that will make the difference, and if that stops working you will find another one. In the end perhaps herbs will see you through when it is all over so you can stop antibiotics. Whatever way you get there..... you will get there.

We are all sick of being sick and yes it has been a never ending nightmare. But it is one that we share and it helps to have company in our misery doesn't it? I hope you feel better soon.
