Hi Nexis
Thanks for your response and the link. I have not tested positive for Babesia and my LLMD is not sure I have it (clinically). Although, I have to say autoimmune is right up my alley. During my last two herx's, I had sharp pains where my sternum and ribs meet and initially thought Lupus, but it went away in a few days and nothing else - thank goodness. Once my friend got Minocin-induced (taking for acne) Lupus and I remember her having a similar pain. It took her a year to recover. I am taking Minocin right now.
This is what I have come up with so far on my own.
Decreased C3 can mean susceptibility to bacterial infection.
Increased C4 is a mediator of local inflammation and can be associated with autoimmune or mold.
I also read about something about low C3 and kidney damage, but I have not looked into that any more.
I just tested very low on a cortisol test and just started supplementing so maybe that will help with the C3.
