Hey kendal- I just got home from North Carolina..I am glad your appt. went well. You are doing the IM Rocephin injections? Is your insurance company paying for them? They would only give me a month so we had to pay ourselves when I was on it.

Dr. D called me last week before we left and told me I tested highly positive for celiac disease. I have to start immediately on a gluten free diet until I at least see him again.

He isn't sure if some of my problems are being caused by this. I honestly don't think so but I will try it out and see if I feel any better.

Let me know how the shots work out okay?

Don't Forget...................No Co-Q 10 with mepron and take it with some kind of fat to help absorption. Blessings

ktp812, i have 2 vials of rocephin powdered and they equal 1g each and i was wondering how much sterile water to mix with it? Thanks,

I can find out for you. My husband is a pharmacist so I will ask him..are you only going to do a couple injections?

kendal- does Dr. D think that is enough? I was on 4 grams for 4 days a week so I am not sure you are getting enough. I know you can mix the rocephin with lidocaine or saline but not sure of the dosage. Will let you know okay...

You could also call Dr. D's office and ask Karen to find out for you. If he prescribed the rocephin he should have let you know how to mix it.

kendal- yes he looked it up and told me but I don't remember what he said. I will let you know after I ask him again. He works nights so he is sleeping right now. Sorry...I should have typed you back right away.

kendal- If you have a 2 gram vial you can mix 4.2 ml of sterile water OR  4.2 ml of 1% Lidocaine solution without ephinephrine.

Hope this helps you out. If you have any questions about this please ask. I would still check with the doctor though or the visiting nurse.

ktp812 Thanks, The lilcane did make a big difference in the shots. did not hurt to bad.. i know when i did the penicillin shots i didnt have anything to numb me up. and those hurt. did it for 3 months... Thanks, for the info on the shots.. -:)

I used lidocaine when I did the bicillin and it made a huge difference for me.
