First time: Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park, CA

Second time: Ely, MN

Didn't see any rashes.

Martha's Vineyard off coast of Mass.
Also possibly many places in the western states of USA, or during visits to eastern states of NY, Mass., Vermont, New Hampshire, and Florida.

My husband was bit in Clinton Corners which is in Dutchess County, New York.  We are about 1 hour south of Albany -

Wife got bit in our front yard in Westchester County NY.
We saw several deer in our garden that summer.

I was not bitten by a tick knowingly, but every Lyme-Literate MD or ND I've seen has supported the idea that I got Lyme from the bite of a red fire-ant in the desert in Southern California at age 4.

i never had a rash but i did alot of hiking last may and june and fig i was bitten in Exerter rhode Island....tested positive for lyme in august

I was bitten in Ravalli County Montana. I had the EM rash - very typical - but three of them instead of one. This strain does not test. I also got bartonella and now see the typical characteristic skin changes from it.

The only known tick bite I have had occured on the nape of my neck and happened in Aspen area of Colorado. (Also visited New Jersey within a year of that incident, but in August of 1982... not tick season, right? I thought tick season was in the spring but ya never really know). I was age 7, first neurological signs occurred at age 15, then I was diagnosed with MS at age 19.... I am now 34.

chester county, pa....i always hugged my dog around his neck and had long hair.  my em rash on my neck/lower scalp was misdiagnosed as psoriasis. i saw the tick on my bathroom counter after brushing my hair.  i had never seen a deer tick and did not know what kind of bug it was at that time - october 2004.  after my diagnosis in the spring-summer 2005, i went online and saw pictures of the critter and realized that the little bug that got me was a deer tick.

Don't remember being bitten but Dr.'s think I was infected in Ontario Canada. I believe I infected with co-infections in western suburbs of Chicago, IL. All 4 children are antibody positive, 3 have active lyme - think it was passed to them. Don't ever remember them ever being bitten either.

I never saw a tick. I had a red round rash on my thigh for about a month, thought it was a spider bite. We had been up at Lake Cultus, in Deschutes County Oregon that weekend. I did get bit by a lot of deer flies on that day. My Nuero Symptoms started about 4 months later.

I really am not sure what happened.

Northeast Ohio, near cleveland at a quary campsite. no tick seen no bullseye rash, but some period of intense flu like symptoms in bed for days with a spotted rash on trunk. Fatigue followed soon after and then neurological symptoms with dull back pain.

Johnson Co, KS. Quite a few in KC metro area confirmed w/ Lyme, but I don't know numbers. All the LLMDs here are full. I probably got the tick from Shawnee Mission Park, which has supposedly has the highest density of deer inthe country. The park is so over populated, they are trying to figure out what to do. Signs there tell us that several dogs had confirmed cases of Rock Mt. sp fever.

As my signature says, I believe I also contracted some type of TBI in Asheville, NC in 1972.   I got very sick about a week after that bite (and the tick was engorged), but Drs only knew to look for Rocky Mt back then. I dont' know what i had, but will solve this someday.

there is no way i can pinpoint where and when. i have lived in all but 4 states in my life. in the last 10 yrs alone i have lived in all but 7 states and would also be walking my dog in the woods if there was any close by, and there usealy was.

but in my heart i belive where i was infected was in NJ. as the ticks there were so bad. i would have to remove my shoes and socks and shak them out. as they would be covered in ticks. and my dog tested positive for lyme last yr. btw i never had a rash either.

Hillsborough County, FL. Ruskin, FL....right by Tampa, FL.

I never saw a bite but I had so many mosquito bites back then. I got very sick with eye and ear infections, lots of swollen lymph nodes. Neuro symptoms came 3-4 months later.

Interesting that so many were in Chester County, PA. That is where I work! I am pretty sure I was bitten in Lower Bucks County, PA though. I know that is where my dog was bitten and is diagnosed with Lyme.
