Maybe tortilla chips with bean dip and cheese and sour cream for a salty snack - no wheat, high protein and some fat. An avocado with salt, pepper, and grated cheese is yummy!
Bananas give you sugar and fat. If you crave sugar try to fool / appease your body with a sweet fruit (fresh) then allow a bit of something "bad" after - you might reduce how much junk you want.
Ice cream has some redeeming qualities besides deliciousness - it has calcium and fat. (Fat can be your friend in moderate amounts, especially dairy and plant fats) Fat and protein will even out your blood sugar much better than carbs. There are similar alternatives like frozen yogurt. Take yogurt, add freezer - voila!
You might want to check out the gylcemic index to see what is less likely to cause a spike. Like - a Snickers is "less bad" than a pure sugar hard candy.
Nuts in any form give you very healthy fats and minerals.
Snacks are good for us - they keep our metabolizm up. (oops, ism!) Enjoy a variety!
