Thank you very much for keeping up with all this, and making it possable for for folks like me to see it. :)

why? i love my nic..LOL my dogs are spoiled rotten!! went i was in a spades league i went to what we called a bash. everyone was trying to guess who was who. by places the nics to the face. no one knew i was me. they thought i looked to young and sweet.LOL
so i started saying (its me RD) as i have gone by this nic for many many yrs now. and my real name starts with a D. so its not far off from the truth.

Ok, so I know I said I'd watch this on Tuesday, but then things got crazy and I didn't. I'm just watching it today. And so far, what I think is this: the presentors are great, but the panel has already made up their minds.

If you listen to the questions at the end of the presentations of the speakers who support ILADs guidelines, the panel is not asking questions because they are open minded. They ask very pointed questions- sometimes to the point of being more of a statement than a question- designed to support the status quo.

While this hearing was great, because it allowed us (and the public) to hear some of ILADs research, I have no confidence that the IDSA will change their guidelines. Lorrain Johnson was spot-on when she stated that she was concerned about bias within the panel. Those physicians had their minds made up before the first speaker said a word.
