Yesterday, I had a bad headache. I dont normally take Advil anymore because it upsets my stomach. Well, I broke down and took one anyway. I coated my stomach with milk and food just like my gastro doc told me. I was fine all day yesterday and it actually helped my pain but this morning when I woke up, I have the burning and rawness from taking the Advil. It usually doesn't do this unless I take two Advil in a row.

My question is, what can I take naturally that will ease the yuckiness I'm feeling? I've already taken 2 GI Nutrients, 2 Probiotics and 1 Entero Concentrate. The entero usually helps the nausea. My stomach is also really bloated. I'm sure I irritated it by taking the Advil.

sorry u are feeling yuckie...not sure if this will help you but i drink lemon ginger tea every night after dinner and find that it really helps with digesting and bloating issues...

Hi,
I have been told that Tumeric does the trick. You can get it in capsule form(I just ordered mine) or if you can get to the grocery store, you can buy the powder form in the spice aisle. They say to mix 1 tsp. in a little warm water, 3xs daily. I have not tried it yet myself, but there are some with Lyme who swear by it. I hope you feel better soon.

Papaya Enzyme capsules that you chew, or brewing some tea using ginger root will help

Hi,
It is supposed to help not only gastric/digestive upset but also with pain and inflammation. I say it is worth giving it a try. I ordered a bottle of the capsules yesterday. I was just at the grocery store and saw it in the spice section. I almost bought some, but knew I have the capsules on the way. I hope you start to feel better.

Same here. I am going to try it mainly for the anti-inflammation. I am hoping what they say is true. I ordered mine from www.vitacost.com. It was $7.99 for 200 capsules. At the grocery store today, it was $4 for the powder tumeric. I just have a feeling that the capsules would easier to stomach-no pun intended, lol.

Yep, I got mine I think @ Walgreens. It is Spring Valley Brand.

Someone told me about it at the beginning of treatment, and I rely alot on it!!

Thank you:) You know what's weird? Even though the Advil made my stomach upset, I feel so much better today. I bet it has alot to do with inflammation. My sed rate has been elevated for a while now.

Try putting your Advil or other meds in an empty capsule.  This way they won't dissolve in your stomach but will reach the small intestine where the med will be obsorbed.

My LLMD has me put all my meds in empty capsules and I don't have stomach problems.  Even capsule forms of meds go into other capsules.  It works for me.
