On my last visit to my LLMD, he decided to pursue the problems with my teeth and jaw bone, thinking that Bartonella may be the lingering culprit that is still causing me problems. I have pain that radiates/burns mostly through my lower jaw bone, and it feels very tense. I've also had the tightness in my two front teeth, especially when I first got sick - I describe it as feeling as though braces are being tightened on my teeth. And about
six months ago I developed severe pain in a back molar. It was sensitive to hot & cold but also would just start hurting toward afternoon and get so bad, I'd take Excedrin and that would alleviate it - 'til the next day. Then it just went away and is not bothering me at all anymore. I did start using Sensodyne toothpaste - not sure if that did the trick. I was considering a root canal and had talked to my dentist, but when I mentioned this to my LLMD, he said DO NOT get a root canal. Apparently, he's seen patients really go into a tail spin after having a root canal.
Anyway, my LLMD had me get a panoramic x-ray that shows the jaw bone. He wants to look at it first, so I am waiting for that to happen, and then he may have me see a dentist . I'm in California, and he gave me a list of several dentists he recommends - there is a Dr. L in Santa Rosa on the list.
Interestingly, my LLMD told me there's been evidence found that Napoleon's army was infected with Bartonella and may have been a cause of death as confirmed through DNA testing of dental pulp. Sure enough, I found information on the internet about this. Here's one of those: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/12/051215081728.htm
