I also have low urea nitrogen, white blood cell counts slightly elevated and platelets slightly elevated.
My liver enzymes are not too high but I am being sent to a gastro doc. I don't understand that either.

I took MILK THISTLE and it completely solved this problem for me. I just took the lowest dosage.

I am sorry, I should have been more clear. I took this for the elevated liver enzymes.

Ah. Thanks stutterbug. I am going for my liver ultrasound tomorrow. They are not really that high, even according to my gastro. He said he's not worried about
that urea nitrogen level either.
So now, I am back to "why is my heart skipping 100+ beats per day".

I had elevated liver enzymes way back before I started treatment at all. The coinfections and maybe Lyme as well can cause elevated liver enzymes. Mine are decreasing as I treat the infections.
check and make sure that milk thistle doesn't interact with whatever other meds you're on - it is great but it can have some drug interactions (involving the cytochrome p450 pathway). for instance, don't take it with ssris and certain abx.
about
heart skipping beats, is it premature ventricular contractions? An EKG or holter monitor test will show this.
my own experience: I had a LOT of PVCs (about
10 a minute) and found that for me, correcting my hypothyroidism with T3 (not T4 or armour, since I had rt3 problems) really decreased the pvcs. but that's just me. a lot of different things can cause skipped beats.

I would like to know specifically which abx interact with milk thistle? I'm asking because I've been diagnosed with fatty liver secondary to TPN (IV nutrition as sole nutrient source, i.e., no food intake at all) and milk thistle helps but not enough.
I'm on Ceftazidime via IV -- initially put on it back in March for pneumonia & pleural effusion, but when my doctor took me off of it, I spiked a pretty concerning fever (103 degrees) and felt horrible within a day of dropping the abx.
