In hindsight, I believe I was feeling better when I was on the IV Invanz and doing the hyperbaric. The traveling was tiring and having my periphreal line continually screw up the last 2 weeks was tiring, but all that might be aleviated with having the PICC line. Plus Invanz has finally been stabilized and comes in the little cold cream jars instead of a bag and a pole - ugh! And my LLDr. has agreed to FINALLY leave me on the Invanz for longer than 4 weeks - yeah!
So my questions are, does anyone know if you can fly with a PICC line and carry on the IV medication? (If by the grace of God I feel like flying). And, does anyone know if you can do hyperbaric with a PICC line? From experience I know you can with a periphreal line, but a line inside the body? I'm not sure and it's Friday so I can't call the doctors until Monday.
If I can stay calm/relaxed, work out a regular routine, with nurses only visiting 1x a week, and a regular daily HBOT appointment same time each day, etc. I may go for it. It's a lot of money, so I want to make the most of it this time around without the extra stress.
Also, I bought a ticket home (Indy) to visit for 5 days and then just really went down hill and had to cancel. I can use the ticket for up to 12 months.... so I can wait, but I miss the P's and I love the Fall (the season, not actually 'falling' - haha!) and haven't been up North in October in years.
I guess you can say that the quality of my problems has improved since this morning!
