What do your LLMDs pair with Ceftin?

My LLMD is going to start me on Ceftin: has anybody had success with this? What did you take with it, if anything?

I took Biaxin and Tindamax with it

How did it work for you? Are you at the point in your Lyme journey where you can work & lead a somewhat normal life?

Hi!

My LLMD just switched me from Bactrim and Biaxin to Rifampin, Ceftin and Bactrim (so no more Biaxin). I can't tell you if it's helping yet, because I just started it yesterday. My LLMD also doubled my does of Bactrim (actually, I figured out I'd been taking half of what I supposed to take). I started that about 4 days ago, and I'm feeling pretty crappy right now, so I suspect I'll be even worse by the weekend.

I'm taking oral ceftin and IV rocephin. Rocephin ends in a few weeks and then he will reevaluate as to what meds. He mentioned carnivora, though.

Just this week I worked a few hours more and felt a bit normal - not completely - but enough to go into the grocery store and do various and sundry things that I had hubby doing during the last few months. I'm walking more and exercising more.

Yes, I lead a pretty "normal" day. I still get tired and have some issues...but we believe them to be viral and I am on abx for those. They have kicked my butt this month, when we raised the dose to 3200LG daily. Whew

I took ceftin with biaxin. That was my first treatment. I didn't make any progress on that combo . I never herxed on it either. The herxing started once I went on mepron. Back on biaxin now but with plaquenil. And it's kicking my butt. Hope this combo works for you. A lot of trial and error unfortunately. That's why it takes so darn long to get better.
