Can you get a herx from a detox bath?

Yes. The heat from the bath and/or the stuff put in the water to encourage detoxing may also trigger a herx or herx-like symptoms as the toxins are pulled out of the body.
Some possible reasons for a herx from detox baths:
Baking soda = very alkaline and high in sodium; probably kills some spirochetes
Epsom salts = also very alkaline; bacteria generally prefer more acidic environments
Hydrogen Peroxide = high in oxygen, which kills bacteria (hence why it is applied to wounds to clean them, and why the body's own immune system makes hydrogen peroxide for the purpose of killing pathogens)
Hot water = increases circulation, bringing more white blood cells and oxygen into parts of the body that don't usually see as much, thus possibly "routing out" hiding spirochetes
I was told to only do detox foot soaks once a week because they trigger some serious fatigue for me. I had an ionizing detox foot bath once and it took me 6 months to recover to previous energy levels because I felt totally depleted of minerals from the ionization. I do not believe I'm that toxic (the Lyme has caused me to need to fast on a regular basis due to gut issues)...so the only thing I can conclude is that there is some amount of die-off going on.
It would be good to discuss this with your LL doctor too...

Thanks Razzle. It was a Epsom Salt and Hydrogen Peroxide bath. Should I stop doing them? I will discuss with LLMD.

PSR1, can you share how it effected you? I want to start them this week, but have to care for my 1 yr old and wondering how bad it could get.

I am not sure if it is a herx or just the sickness: about
an hour after I got out of the bath I started to have neuralgia and sweats, and today I am pretty much in bed, with the weakness and neuralgia. This is after a pretty good day yesterday that had me hoping I was turning a corner...oh well, I have not seen much improvement on the abx so far, and I do just have a 'good day' here or there for no discernible reason, so I really don't know if it was the bath. But I will avoid them for a day or two and see if I can get back to feeling better, by taking my Wobenzyme and Burbur.

I have a 1 yr old too and i do epsom salt and hydro baths...they actually make me feel pretty good! sorry you had a rough time PSR1- maybe the water was too hot? I think deejavu posted about
keeping it 98 degrees or you could feel worse- but she also posted that the 1st week could be a little rough in adjusting- didnt happen to me though. maybe you had the water just right though and were getting a herx like razzle said

HI All,
I'm having herxes from my detoxing. It was suggested to me that I could have a very heavy load of toxins & that I may need to "build up to" regular detoxing.
Makes sense - with over 40 years of environmental, bacterial, viral & who knows what other kinds of toxins building
up- I guess one could say that it's no wonder, with that kind of a load, my body is throwing a hissy fit!!!
So, start slowly - I only got 3 epsom salt/peroxide bathes, & one foot bath done last week. Had a migraine each time, along with numerous other sx increase &/or show back up.
Awwww!! So much fun!! =)

I have herxes too when I detox. In fact, I just posted about
this not long ago. I felt really awful and even ran a fever after I got out of my sauna. I think Razzles explanation is right on the money. Spirochetes do not like heat.
I felt bad after doing a detox bath the other day too. I think the feeling bad part is our bodies way of getting rid of toxins.
