Newbie Questions...

How soon would someone have heart palpitations after a supposed tick bite..? Like 2-3 weeks? Or is that too soon?

Well.. 1.5 weeks ago I developed a rash on the inside of my elbow. It looked like a pimple at first.. then turned into what may have been a 1 inch bullseye... then the rash got to be 3.5 x 1.5 inches oval big. Went to the regular primary care doc, she gave a steroid creme and told me to come back in 6 weeks for a test with her "expecting it to be negative" she says.. after abut 8 days the rash has almost disapeared.. sort of it is only about an inch now, but with the faintest red line around it. The itching was intense and was bumpy. Now I've started some wicked heart palpitations that come on for NO reason and hang around for hours.. I've had a stuffy nose, with a dry cough.. The symptoms list is so extensive I'm sure everybody could pick some stuff of the list.. even those without lyme..

Well maybe 1-2 weeks before this I did have a small bug on me and it was SO insignificant to me at the time I just flicked it off (it wasn't attached it was walking.. ew).

I live in an area that has prevalent lyme problems, loudoun county.

I'm sure it's very possible to have heart palpitations now. Make sure you get tested for co-infections as well. Doctors usually like to treat co-infections first.
