WHY ME??????????

Ashley, so very sorry you are suffering with this horrible disease. You ask, why you? We all ask that question at one time or another. There's no good answer for the "why" question, unfortunately. Instead of focusing on why, it's important you put your focus and energy on getting well.

You seem to indicate in your post that you don't have a lyme doctor, is this true? Is your mom not able to find a lyme doctor that will treat you? If you need a lyme doctor referral I'm sure someone on this forum can pm you with a name of a doctor in your area. If not, let me know and I will pm you some information where you can get referrals for lyme doctors in your area or maybe not too far from you.

You are too young to have to go threw this I am so sorry. I am 33 and I feel just like you alot. I can't imagine if my 10 year old had to do this, it is a very hard disease. It's not fair to any of us. You add sickness along with mainstream Drs who don't understand Lyme and won't help us and it makes awhole lot of not fun.

Keep fighting it's all we can do.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this disease. I agree with all the above posts. Don't waste time asking "why", just move forward and have hope and faith that you will again be well. Do all that you can to help yourself. My daughter was probably infected in the womb, but we did not know. She was not diagnosed properly until she was 16! She is now 19, and we are both in treatment. I have asked her to write to you and hopefully she will be able to soon. Her screen name is teenlymer. Take care and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Our doctor told us that kids often do better and get well quicker than adults----so go for it!!
