Hi Everyone: I have read alot about
taking oils for inflammation. I am allergic to Primrose Oil so that is not an option for me. When I was at Whole Foods last week I bought Complete Omegas 3-6-9 by Nordic Naturals. I got wondering after, do I want all three of those? Seems to me I remember reading that there needs to be a "delicate balance." Am I ok with this formula? Trying to help an aching back. Thanks in advance! Dowa

I take complete Omegas as above (not the same brand) but same 3-6-9 forumula. It has helped me tremendously with the pain in my upper back.
I take 1200MG daily, even tho my LLMD wanted me on 2400MG, I just could not do that.
One large benefit as well, has been my cholesterol dropped 30 pts in 90 days. I have not had it checked since and I have now been on the Fishy oil for 1 year.
If you have any "burping" fishy taste, place capsules in your freezer and you will not have any issue when you take them frozen so to speak!

Thank you so much. I think I "goofed", I bought the liquid. How much liquid do you think I should take? I can handle the fishy taste. I appreciate your help! Dowa

Look at the bottle and see what the serving size is. It should tell you how much Omega 3, 6, & 9 is in one serving.
I would start with one serving or less just so you can get used to the supplement and make sure your body tolerates it ok. Then after a bit, start to slowly increase until you are at the point where you are following the recommended dosage on the bottle. Ask your doctor if s/he wants you to take more than this amount next time you see him/her.

I've taken the gel capsule form by nordic naturals and i liked it very much- right now i'm on another brand though (can't remember the name darn it! but it's a 3,6,9 formula too) Don't know what the cons would be to taking all three but it seems to be working okay for my husband and I.

All 3 are considered "essential fatty acids" therefore all 3 are used by the body for health. The immune system, bones, cell walls, etc. all need and use these fatty acids.

I heard from a naturopath that it's better to buy liquid fish oil because the pill form could be rancid and you'd never know it.

I have been taking a 3 - 6 - 9 formula for a couple of months now, as well as Co Q-10, as I am on a medication that will deplete that from my system otherwise. I have felt a definite improvement overall, but I'm not sure which one helped the most, as I only waited 1 week between starting each of them.
