Sally, which Neuro-Anitox ll Formula are you on? You may want to change over to another one depending on what you're on now. If I were choosing which formula to take, based on your symptoms, I would chose the CNS/PNS formula. Actually, right now what I'm doing is alternating between the CNS/PNS and the Musculo-Skeletal formulas because I've been dealing with symptoms that both of these formulas work on.
You can purchase the formulas yourself on the Jernigan Nutraceutical website here: http://abc.eznettools.net/jernigannutraceuticals/Neuro-Antitox2.html While you're there looking at the various Neuro-Toxin formulas take a look at some of the other remedies and products they offer as well.
I'm just speculating here, but when my lyme went neuro, after the toxins started moving around in me, it affected my eyes. I had some eye pain (not a lot) but I had a lot of blurriness. In fact, the blurriness was so bad I went to see the eye doctor on three occasions just to make sure there was nothing serious going on with me eyes. One thing the eye doctor did discover during his tests was the fact that my eyes were super dry. He gave me some drops to use and a gel to put in my eyes at night.
I forgot the name of the gel but it's a bit messy and it makes your eyes even more blurry, but since you put it in your eyes during bedtime it doesn't really matter. I wasn't faithful taking the gel but I still do take the eye drops. The drops I take are Refresh Plus for sensitive eyes. They have no preservatives in them which is what I'd recommend. They do make it without preservatives, they're a bit cheaper, but I prefer the individually packed drops with no preservatives just because it gives me peace of mind.
Anyway, when the toxins start moving around in me, for some reason it goes to my eyes and brain and it's really bothersome when that happens. Yes, on occasion this still happens to me. That's what I think may be happening with you right now, but that's only a guess. I think what you are experiencing is normal and it will pass in time.
Are you being faithful taking detox baths? This is so very important as Denise often points out. Dry brush your skin daily and take detox baths at least three times a week. The infrared sauna you are using is wonderful, but you still need to take the detox baths. If you go to the top of the forum where it says, "New to Lyme...Start here", you'll see the detox bath recipe. I know you probably know this already, but did you read what each substance in the recipe does for your body and how and why it benefits you? Good information there, not just the recipe, but the reason WHY detox baths are so important. The infrared sauna is a great detox tool, but don't think because you're using the infrared sauna that the detox baths aren't important--they really are important. You really need to do both if you want to get as much lyme toxins out of your body as possible.
I just read your post on the other thread regarding your your allergy/sinus stuff going on right now. Ahhh, I wish I had read that first! Yes indeed, this could very well another reason (or THE reason) that you are having eye pain. I do recall having head pressure, eye pain (mostly in left eye) several months ago. What really got me concerned about
it was from time to time I would get a whiff of infection smell that seemed to be coming from my sinuses. It was barely noticeable but as time went on the smell became stronger. I decided to see an ENT and I was stunned to find out that I had a very serious sinus infection and allergies. I told the ENT I don't have allergies. He said, I not only had allergies, I have one of the worst sinus infections he's seen in awhile. He gave me some steroid nasal spray and some abx to take.
I told the doctor I got very sick from steroid shots not long ago and didn't want to take steroid spray. He told me it would be safe and not get into my blood stream and not to worry about
it. I did some research and found out that it can get into your blood stream, even though it might be a small amount and not enough to do me any harm, I just didn't want to go there and take the chance. I did some research and found something called a Neti-Pot which I had never heard of before. It's all natural and it has excellent user reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/NeilMed-NasaFlo-Unbreakable-Premixed-Packets/dp/B000ITHH86/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1274503805&sr=1-5
It comes with premixed, all natural USP Grade (99.9% Pure) Sodium Chloride & Sodium Bicarbonate Mixture (pH balanced, natural ingredients, isotonic, preservative free & iodine free). I read about
this on other lyme forums and on various forums where people talk about
allergy remedies, etc, and this came highly recommended. I went to Walgreens to buy it and used it twice a day for a month. I returned to my ENT for my scheduled check-up. and the doctor said, "Your sinuses look great!". He asked me if I was being faithful taking the steroid spray and abx? I told him that I was not taking either one due to my fear of steroids and the fact that my abx don't agree with me.
I explained that I was using a Neti-Pot. He was stunned when I told him that. He said he knew what a Neti-Pot was and he was very surprised to see how clear my nasal cavity looked and how much better my allergies were. I thought he'd be pretty ticked off at me for not following his instructions, but instead of being ticked off, he said, "it's working for you so keep it up!" So now when I feel that pressure coming on, and my sinuses start to act up, I immediately get the Neti-Pot out and use it twice a day. It clears my sinuses up in no time, every time I use it.
Anyway, I know I said an awful lot here, but the point is, if what you're experiencing is due to your allergies, I highly recommend you to get a Neti-Pot and the premixed packages that come with it. If what you are experiencing is related to your allergies, this should get your sinus/allergies under control pretty quick. It's cheap, it's natural, and best of all, it really works! Maybe that's what's causing your eye pain, so start there and see if that helps you.
By the way, are you taking the Beyond Chelation Improved supplements that are part of the "Core Protocol"? How are you doing with those? Are you able to take them without upset stomach or any other side effects? I haven't started on this yet and am curious how it's working out for you.
I better close this before it becomes a book, eh?
Hope this helps. Keep us posted and let us know if things get better for you.
