Picc Line Is In

I have to say it was not a fun morning for me.  My nerves were so wracked I could not eat anything. 

The first nurse tried two times and could not get the picc in so I had to go to Raidology.  Lucky for me I got the same guy who did my Lumbar Puncture.  Because I'm allergic to lydocaine, he got it in as quickly and safely as he could.  I did experience pain throughtout the procedure, but it was tolerable. 

Now afterwards I feel more pain in my arm and a bit nauseated.  I'm hoping by later tonight I will be much better.

 

I have not had any antibiotic yet...I'm waiting for a nurse to call me and set up an appointment. Hopefully, I can tolerate it well after going through this ordeal this morning.

I'm feeling off today...very sensitive...can't seem to get myself together.

I can't stand my primary care doc, he is a jerk and I will be looking for someone else. I'm tired of feeling like I'm putting him out of his way to do something for me. He couldn't even diagnose the darn Lyme...which could have been treated sooner and maybe I wouldn't be in this siutation now. I feel so frustrated...and everytime I deal with a medical professional like him, it just reinforces my distrust for drs.

Hopefully, the llmd I will be seeing the end of August is not like that...I need someone who listens.

It's great to hear your line is in. I have a friend who was on oral antibiotics for 2 1/2 years and getting worse who three months ago got a picc line and began rocephin. The first month she was unimpressed, but now she's calling it a miracle drug. Her brain fog and other neuro symptoms are practically gone and for the first time since she got sick she's saying she feels almost normal. Gives me hope! Best of luck to you with your treatment.
