Timing on CD57 test

Hello again,

I am having Labcorp do another CD57 test just to see how it measures up with the Quest results but running into a problem.

As I understand it, Labcorp in NC or TX needs to have the blood the next morning after the draw or the results will be inaccurate. The idiots at Labcorp say NC or TX will have it in 48 hours and that's fine. Not from what I read. Before I bug my doctor about this and make her call them, I wanted to double check with the people who have the real info. What's the deal? Can they do the test 48 hours after the draw?

Perhaps that's why my original test done last year was a number (32) that makes no sense in the context of this years results at Quest (207).

I swear you have to be onto of everything and everyone argues with you like they are the ones in the know and what can a patient possibly know. I hate medical people.

BP- I do remember when I had mine tested they wanted to make sure I did it on a monday or tuesday so the blood wouldn't be sitting in a lab over a weekend.

I am pretty sure that as long as the blood is stored properly that 48 hours should be okay..

I am not too keen on the medical community either..
