under the eight ball? this movie premiered last yr. happened upon it in u tube but can only see alittle of it looks scary.

has anyone seen it.

Hi all,

I don't believe this as I think it's just another money (movie) making scheme.

The first lyme bacteria was identified in 1890 in Germany.   So lyme has been around forever and people are just looking to blame..

I have not seen the movie, but the basic premise for the movie is not that Lyme is a "new" bacteria but that the spirochete was "tinkered with" by the government during experiments in biowarfare research...and it is the "tinkered with" version of Lyme that has become so difficult to eradicate.

I don't know if I totally agree with this, there are a lot of things about it that are difficult to prove for sure one way or the other.

People's immune systems used to be stronger in general, so it is difficult to say whether it is a bioweaponized version of Lyme we are dealing with, or a combination of a really smart bug and a poorly functioning immune system.

Just my $.02...

I would recommend the movie "Under our Skin". It is a great documentary about Lyme.
