I don't want to bum you out - but it took me a lot longer than 2 weeks on that diet of only protein and veggies - and I HATE veggies. I dropped 20 pounds though!
Having yeast overgrowth makes you moody and grouchy and tired. I was also bloated, and within 30 minutes of eating a meal, my stomach would pop out and move around like I was pregnant. I would get headaches and a hangover feeling if I had a bunch of sugar one day and not much the next.
I think the sugar/grains go in your mouth and then mixes with the yeast in the belly and it all turns into alcohol, which is how they make beer and wine - right? That gave me all those symptoms plus a serious addiction to sugar and bread/cereals. Just my thoughts on that.... it probably doesn't have a bit of scientific truth to it but it kept me from putting sugar and grains in my mouth.
Hope you get that problem figured out soon. I know how miserable you must feel.
Check into gluten intolerance too. I figured out that I have that once I tried to add food groups back in after the anti - yeast diet was over. I still can't eat grains with wheat/gluten in them. I've been gluten free since June 2009. But at least I was able to have sugar every once in a while, until I started abx for Lyme and am back on the anti-yeast/anti-Lyme diet.
You were right - "When it rains it pours" !!!!!
