Hi Linda,
Welcome and nice to meet you! I did Dr. J's "healing at home" protocol and that worked for me.. I also know plenty of people who went to Hansa and you know what? Even though Hansa does a fantastic job pinpointing major problem areas, when a person arrives home, they still need to do what I do which is detoxing daily, eating healthy, taking a look at stressors and how to eliminate as much stress as one can, etc.
Botanicals are the easy part, the real work is creating a habit of dry skin brushing every day, taking at least one detox bath (and foot bath) every day, working on one's immune system by keeping it strong, taking time out to relax in order to reduce stress, and diet..
I know some people who went to Hansa expecting a miracle (and I'm not talking about you) and guess what? They set themselves up only to be disappointed because they didn't read Dr. J's book, learn his views, his detoxing methods, etc. There is sooooo much to learn and as Razzle said, if you didn't buy Dr. J's book yet, please buy it and read every page.. His book is a real eye-opener if one's mind is open..
Getting better is not a quick fix and to this day I still continue to detox, exercise, eat right (though I did want a taco from Taco Bell), take my supplements (Green Vibrance, etc.). It's really an on-going process in order to stay healthy, lyme or no lyme.. It takes dedication and forming new habits. Some people are willing to do this because they are so tired of being sick and some are not willing to make changes..
I have no idea if you are detoxing at all and if you are, good for you! I really believe with all my experience that detoxing is at least 50% the battle in getting better (not only from lyme but from any disease).. Hey, we live in such a toxic world.
Look forward to hearing about your current regime if you don't mind..
Hang in there okay and don't lose hope, we are here to help you get better!
Denise
