Help! I Can't Understand my Blood Work Results!

confused  Can someone please help explain how I can interpret my own blood work result.  I went to my appointment today.  You know, the one I kept saying was Thursday:).  And I finally got the results of my last test but I can't understand it and the doctor did not explain................Willie

What blood work did you have? Does anything show up as abnormal?

The blood work was for my thyroid, cholesterol and for Lyme. It was done on December 9th. On December 10th he called me and told me I had Lyme Disease. I was in complete shock. I had no idea I had Lyme. When I researched all my symptoms, which became progressively worse the past three years I thought I might have MS. Lyme was the farthest thing from my mind. I knew nothing about it. He then told me to pick up my doxy and come see him in a month. That's it. No explanation. I thought I'd be healed by the time I went back. That's why I posted about my getting worse instead of better a few days ago.

The blood work says: LYME, IGG- 1.60, IGM-0.29

Please help me understand this. I have no idea what it means.

springsjean, please disregard my question. I don't kow why I couldn't understand it but I looked at it again and all it is, is my positive result for lyme.

How did something so simple seem so complicated to me just a few hours ago. I think I may have gotton too stressed after my dr's appt. He referred me to a neurologist and for testing on artery blockage. He also ran another blood work (blot). It all made me very nervous and confused. After a warm bath and some dinner I realized what my results were.

It looks like he did an Elisa and is now doing a Western blot. Post your Western Blot results here and we can help explain everything to you.

No problem but do not just treat with primary doctor. Get to an LLMD. You will be glad you did.
