You most definitely are not alone in this HH!! We are all here for you. Are you seeing an LLMD now? There are very few other docs out there that understand what to do in order to help out a Lymie without making them worse!

I am really sorry that you are still feeling so poorly. Please do let us know how your appts. go. Also, try to remember to get a paper copy of your blood test results!

Is there really any getting rid of this with abx if you have had it over 10 to 20 yrs?

can you email me the PA doctor?

did you get the blood work AFTER doing special protocol to help with testing?

Igenex has one but I don't know why everyone doesn't get it.

I tole everyone this a million times but my doctor gave me japaneese knotweed tincture and teasel root tincture for a week before testing. and according to what she says in the Insights into Lyme disease , chapter 3, starts page 78. she gives other protocols 2 to 4 weeks depending on patient.

I hope you find someone who knows what they are looking at before ordering the testing and is thorough so you get the whole picture.

I watched that free itunes thing of Dan Rather "addiction to antibiotics" and it shows why antibiotics don't work in this country the way they should and how everyone is given then for every little thing. and no one even takes penacylin any more because they have already build up past that from doctors over precribing the class of abx.

First of all, you are very much a "real" person with "real" strength or you would be here now!!! You have made it through a lot of things a lesser person would have never had a prayer making it through!! All of us here fit into that category!!

Confusion and lack of word finding ability are things that are quite common with Lymies that are going through the Neuro infection. That's the part that we are supposed to be laughing about, remember? My saying- blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we will never cease to be amused?

I know very well just how hard it can be to conduct life around you while you are so ill - I spent more than just a little bit of time as a single Mom with these tick-borne infections and understand how a Lymie can really feel the pressure trying to just keep things going!

As for your son, if he's of age, maybe it's time for some "tough love"? I don't know your exact situation - or at least I can't remember right now with your son, but you need to put your health in front of his alcohol/drug problem. If you don't take care of yourself, who will be there when you can't be?

Please take good care of yourself!! And email me- or anyone else- to talk this stuff through. THis is when we Lymies need to stick together the most!!! During some of the toughest times of our lives.

HH. that is great idea. we need 12 step programs now for lyme at this point. It is hard to believe there isn't more local groups meeting in every town especially in the heavy hit states.


HH,don't let the lyme beat you. This is what it does ...it ripps us all to pieces. I spend my whole day just trying to prove to myself that I am functioning like a normal human being. I get nothing done all day and then can't fall asleep at night. It's like I'm afraid my mind is going to completely kill me in my own sleep.

I know there are most of us here who have tried EVRERYTHING. And maybe now we need to be on a skype group. that would be kool. Some days I wish I could walk over to the little community center and find my friends from this HW forum. Have some warm tea and get to listen and make each other laugh.

You just gave me a great idea to try to start a fibro group here. NO ONE has lyme in my little town. Or at least no one KNOWS it. but fibro people are everywhere.

I am starting to teach Hot yoga class in a couple of weeks. My friend is building a little hot room for us to practice. I haven't tought in years and am wondering how I can even get through 90 mnutes of dialogue the way I forget every other word that come out of my mouth.
