Are Dipsacus sylvestris (D. Fullurm) and D. japanoica (spelling?) two different species, implying that they should have different qualities (constituents), and because of the difference one would/could be better used when treating Lyme. Or, not suited to treat at all.

My TCM healer provided me with powdered Dipsacus Japanocia, which I immediately began tincturing. The extraction takes, me, six weeks.

If I'm tincturing the wrong species, it's a waste of time.
I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to whether or not the two different species could be used, if one was not at all effective, etc.

My error has led to my increased understanding. (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Dipsacus_fullonum), but I haven't located a list to compare D. Sylvestris with D. japanocia.

I'm taking two lessons from LB. I sent her an email asking if she had begone again making tinctures again. Hope she is feeling better. I am uncertain, but believe that the spirochetes are moved back into the blood stream with the use of Teasel (D. Sylvestris, or is it ..tres?) no one has said, well maybe our mutual friend living near Leslie) but I also taking Grapefruit Seed Extract 10-15 dps 3td.
The usual symptoms exist, but I did get my new doctor to order tests, including Elisa and Western Blot. With all the false positives and negatives... well how does one believe any of the test results. The symptoms all came at once, not over a period, at least that's what I feel.

Yes, known her quite a few years, and I've tick infected, at least last summer; if I haven't been carrying the disease around for a longer period. You know how easy it is here to become bitten. Someone,maybe Lady Barbra has a repellent recipe. Tea spoon of Rose Geranium Essential Oil, eight oz. of H20, something else and spritz it on as you go out. Haven't tried it, and don't care how "sweet" I smell as long as I don't get another infection. Refuse to hide from the little suckers, and dislike city life. As far as mental capacity, well that seems to be slowing down quite a bit along with energy levels. All I'm doing is Teasel/Grapefruit Seed Extract. Nettle tea brewed the night before and allowed to sit over night covered. Immune builders Astragalus. Other things to help different systems. Pleurisy Root/Horehound tinctures for lungs. Usual things for colds/flus. I'm no expert and Janice or other professionals should be consulted. But it's good there is someone else interested in TCM. I've a book coming, name slips away, but will post when it arrives. Written by a Chinese TCM, subject is Lyme and TCM. Should be here middle of next week. I probably won't be able to follow it, but she'll have it shortly there after.

Springs coming and I'm trying to get seeds started for an enlarged herb garden, and a more effective use of my vegetable garden.
