Interested to know what people think about the importance of diet in fighting Lyme Disease. Obviously a general healthy balanced diet is vital, but I have read lots of posts saying to restrict (or entirely eliminate) sugar and even starch.
I feel that sugar and other carbs are vital for energy to get better. I seem to be relatively lucky with no thrush with Doxy so sugar doesn't seem to be a particular problem. In fact, I crave it and so have to ration it!!! I did cut it out completely for a while but felt awful - lethargic and headaches. Felt almost instantly better after returning to a normal diet.
Where do you all think???
