Hi I was wondering if anyone has tried acupuncture. I started going about a month ago and have gone once a week since. I have neurological lyme, and when I first started my treatment I had immense pressure where my neck meets my head (the brainstem region). However, recently my pressure is constantly changing all throughout the day. While at some points I have the pressure in the brainstem region, other times of the day I have an itchy pressure feeling on the top of my head where a headband would go. Both feelings are really horrible, but I can't figure out it it is a good thing that my symptoms keep changing places or if it is irritating everything. Any suggestions?

I came on to just take a peak at things before I went to bed & saw your post!! I give you a quick answer because I go to my Acupuncture/Chinese Medicine appt tomorrow morning, so I won't be on until later, if I'm up to it.

Good for you for trying something different! It would be best for you to ask your practitioner of course, as each treatment is uniquely fitted around what your needs are at the time of your treatment. With that being said, I believe what you are experiencing is not harmfull, as it has been happening to me as well. I intend to ask about this as well.

Are you detoxing? If not that would be the first thing to start with, in my opinion. It has been helping me.

Hi thank you for getting back to me. I have been detoxing a lot, and I did talk to my lyme specialist and acupuncturist and they both just said that it was too soon to tell what that means and then gave me another detox medicine (sydetox). Did you end up talking to your acupuncturist?

Yep! I did talk with her today about the headaches & them moving around like that. She explained that it could easily be from your 'energy' - or 'chi' as it's known in Chinese Medicine-
moving slow in some areas and faster in other areas. My Chi is actually 'stuck' in a few places.

Of course there are many other sites out there, but I have found the info on this one to be reliable.

Interestingly enough, today was the day she had chose to 'work' on my headaches!! So we will see just how stubborn my body is and how well the treatment works. I can tell you I feel better after having my treatment!
