Hi DocDelMed!
Welcome to our forum!! I am sorry to hear that you have a need to be here, but I am glad that you found us! I'm sure you will find us to be a helpful and understanding group!
If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to read through the thread at the top of the forum titled, "New to Lyme?...Start here!", as it is packed full of relevant information and informative links that have been put together by our members here! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts.
From the research-type reading that I have done, most of the well-known LLMD's recommend that a person with tick-borne infections stay on abx for 2 to 3 months after
all symptoms resolve.
I would venture to guess your Cardio doc doesn't understand Lyme - very few do. I would suggest that you may need more treatment and should get in to see a Lyme Specialist - a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor). They can evaluate you to see if you still need more treatment for tick-borne infections, or if this is due to damage done while the infection(s) were active.
We can help you get started in locating a LLMD. You can start a new thread asking for help and include what area you live in. It would be best if you could include a larger city near you.
Here are a few other things to do to find a LLMD; please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:

www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm to learn a little bit more about
Lyme Disease.
You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:
www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74 You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.

Once again, welcome to our little spot!
