looking for LLMD in the UK

Hi,

Please refer to my post; LYME OR NOT LYME, THAT IS THE QUESTION.

I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to find a LLMD in the UK. Although I may have found one that is willing to help me who is in Cardiff.

All this hinges on my results that I'm waiting on, I think its the ELISA test?

Can anyone help?

Sorry for not posting a reply sooner.

I have been in touch with Dr O, who has been very helpful. Unfortunately, he can't do anything until my ELISA test has come back through the NHS. I'm fully expecting the result to come back negative.

From what he said, taking into account everything, he is prepared to accept a referal from my doctor, where he will make a thorough investigation.
He seems to think that Lyme is a possibility, but has to investigate other illnesses, although, this has been done by the numerous doctors I've seen.

At least I'm moving forward.

Hi mrseve, LLMD's in the UK are not at risk like the their US friends (YET)......... Pop a search into Google for Breakspear Medical Group, they are in Hemel Hempstead and are fantastic. They have treated me very successfully over the last two years.....I really do owe my life to them.

As for Dr O ??? I would suggest an "LLMD" waiting to see the result of an ELISA before he treats or even sees you doesn't know enough about the LD bacteria or the testing difficulties, I'd be careful with that one. What is he going to do if it comes back negative? Probably leave you to suffer like the NHS would. LD is diagnosed clinically, the blood test are good to have but not vital to gain treatment (if you hit the right criteria of course).

I have been in touch with breakspear. Sent an email to them covering everything. They replied asking me to get in touch.

Unfortunately, my financial situation is forcing me down the NHS route.
